Talks

Louis Vuitton appointed Pharrell Williams to become it's new men's creative director, closing all debates, rumours and speculations about who would take over one of the most desired fashion job, after the death of star designer Virgil Abloh last year.
Seen by many as a marketing move, rather than a creative move, the choice of Pharrell suggests Louis Vuitton counting on the celebrity guru force and mass appeal to expand further its men's collection, in the post-Abloh era. It is hard enough for anyone to continue the great job Virgil did with the brand, marrying successfully street culture with high fashion and broadening its appeal to a younger target, much more diverse than their traditional base.
But Pharrell, best known for his music career, is not a stranger for the fashion scene, either. He co-founded streetwear brand Billionaire Boys Club, together with Nigo, followed by Ice Cream, Bee Line and Billionaire Girls Club labels. He also collaborated with Chanel, Moncler, Adidas and even Louis Vuitton in 2008, on a jewellery line.
So, all eyes on Pharrell, looking forward to seeing his debut in June, at Paris Fashion Week.
