Its global mission is to stop the degradation of the planet's natural environment and to build a future in which humans live in harmony with nature.
In Romania, WWF has been working since 2006 to protect the wild environment in the Carpathian Mountains and along the Danube including protected areas, the Danube Delta, waters, forests, protection of brown bears and sturgeons.
Today, human activities put more pressure on nature than ever before, but it’s also people who have the power to change this trajectory. Thus, seeking to protect the wild life, WWF joins efforts in stimulating the transition to the green economy and the development of environmental education programs for young people.
